Happy Friday everyone! I’m toying with the idea of having more posts that link to external sites… like this one. Please let me know if you like this style and would like to see more of it or if the focus should be solely on homegrown GRT Evolution content.
Anyways… here’s the post:
Every now and then you read an AAR that turns out differently than you were expecting it to. I recently (aka today) stumbled upon the following AAR for a GORUCK Challenge and had that exact experience. I was given the context that this was an AAR of the person’s first event written ~48 hours before their second event. What I didn’t realize was that the person writing the AAR was med-dropped during their first Challenge.
If you’re looking for a short, thoughtful, and excellently written AAR (with some swearing and a no bullshit writing style) then I’d highly suggest giving this one a read. The post is titled On Zen and the Art of Rucking and is written by Jonathan Liu. I hope that he has an excellent time this weekend on his second foray into GORUCK events.
Note that the above image has nothing to do with this post… I just hate posting things without images. I also wanted to show off my good friend David’s work. He’s an excellent photographer and definitely captures the moment at GORUCK events.

First of all I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question which
I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear
your thoughts before writing. I’ve had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there.
I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas
or tips? Cheers!
